Al-Hadith

Al-Hadith meaning news, Prophet Muhammad (saw) talks. Al-Hadith are the things that the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said. Whenever the Prophet (saw) said something important or gave advise on anything, the Sahabah’s (His companions) used to listen eagerly and then they would write it down.
The Sunnah is very similar as well, it is the example of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) way of life, and it is something that He did say or liked. It is contained in the books of Hadith, which have been written and are collections of the Prophet (saw) saying and actions and the actions approved by Him. It shows how to put the guidance of the Quran into practice. Al- Hadith were carefully recorded after the Prophet’s (saw) death.
Six particular collections have become important and are regarded as the most authentic: Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Tirmizi, Abu Dawud, Nasai and Ibn Majah.
Hazrat Umar (r.a) compiled the Hadith. Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (r.a) narrated the most Hadith amongst the Sahabah’s. He compiled 5374 Hadiths.
Hazrat Aiysha narrated the most Hadiths amongst the women Sahabah’s.
